       Council of congregation

Almost two years ago, the Council of Congregation held in Great Britain launched a vast reflection on our governance and structures of government, opening up new avenues for our consideration. It was asked to prepare the minds and hearts of the sisters and to take time to consult the whole of the Congregation. With this in mind, the U Theory was proposed as a common process for a progressive preparation of the sisters. The time has come to gather the fruits of this reflection and to engage in a decision making process. As we approach the 2019 General Chapter, it is also a good time to review where we are with different dossiers.

This is why a Council of Congregation will be held at
Saint Jacut-les-Pins, France,

from October 8th to 21st 2017.
The meeting will be held at Saint Anne’s,

(a house on the grounds of the Mother House).

The theme of the Council of Congregation will be :

What Congregation do we want for tomorrow ?
Let us revise our structures for
a greater missionary vitality.

Sr. Christine Anderson, FCJ (Faithful Companions of Jesus) will be our animator. She is British and perfectly bilingual (English/French). Of Ignatian spirituality, Sr. Christine has an ample experience facilitating Chapters and other congregational gatherings around the world.
We ask you to pray for this important event in the life of the Congregation.
